THE SOFTSTACK FACTORY PROGRAM BENEFITS THE ENTIRE COMMUNITY, PROVIDING YOUNG ADULTS IN THE SAN DIEGO AREA AN OPPORTUNITY TO FIND THEIR PATH IN THE TECHNOLOGY SECTOR, ALSO PROVIDING LOCAL COMPANIES A SOLUTION TO THE HIGH TECH JOBS SKILLS GAP.

 

The program aims to bring long term value to our local communities via a business model that  allows a company to commission an application built by our students and mentors. The fees from the commission supports the students immersion studies and apprenticeship program. Graduates from our program gain paid internships that lead to permanent job opportunity within our local market. We all benefit by having new talent that understands the latest software technology needs of the market, so please sponsor an application that will directly sponsor a cohort of students or join our Corporate membership program.

 

We are looking for individuals that can volunteer at SSF, for example retired software engineers, managers, leaders, developers to run or assist a cohort or to help us identifying project sponsors or  individuals that can help us with fundraising events that we run.

Although SoftStack Factory is a nonprofit organization it is run like a for-profit business from top to bottom.
